North Korea could face sanctions after missiles fired

North Korea could face sanctions after missiles firedSanctions against North Korea must be fully implemented in response of firing ballistic missiles into the sea, U.S. President Barack Obama said on Tuesday after a meeting with South Korean Park Geun-hye in Laos.

Obama said the firing of the missiles, when leaders of the Group of 20 major economies were at a summit in China, demonstrated the threat North Korea posed, adding Washington had no interest in taking an offensive approach toward Pyongyang.

He also said that North Korea's provocations could end with further isolation of the country.

Park also expressed her support for sanctions and said South Korea would respond to any North Korean provocation. China should also play a role in implementing sanctions, she added.
