Hillary Clinton would not go to Mexico before election

Hillary Clinton would not go to Mexico before electionHillary Clinton, U.S. Democratic nominee, said on Monday she will not accept an invitation from Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto and described his meeting with Donald Trump as “unfortunate” and “diplomatic incident”.

In an interview with ABC News that was aired Tuesday morning on a question if Clinton would visit Mexico before election she just said “no”. The same decision later was expressed by her campaign.

Mexican Foreign Minister Claudia Ruiz Massieu tweeted that Mexico don’t judge her decision: "We understand and respect her decision to propose the time to hold a meeting."

Last month Pena Nieto invited both U.S. presidential candidates to visit Mexico and Trump did so last Wednesday.

At first it seems that the meeting went well, but than some tension was revealed, especially in the question of wall on the U.S.-Mexican border.

"He didn't raise it, so he did choke. He didn't know how to even communicate effectively with a head of state. And I think that's a pretty clear outcome from that trip," Clinton said, describing Trump's visit and his words about the wall constructing.

"You shouldn't leave the safety of America and our diplomacy in the hands of a rookie who, on his one visit with a foreign leader, has already created kind of an international embarrassment for us," Tim Kaine, Clinton’s running mate added.
