Tottenham advances in Champions League

Tottenham came from two goals down in Jose Mourinho’s first home game in charge to beat Olympiakos 4-2 and advance from the Champions League group stage, with Real Madrid and Manchester City also reaching the last 16 with a game to spare on Tuesday.
Mourinho, taking charge of his third English club in Europe’s top competition, saw his new team concede twice in the opening 19 minutes and decided to bring on Christian Eriksen as a 29th-minute substitute. Then came the Spurs fightback, with Dele Alli and Harry Kane scoring either side of halftime before Serge Aurier and Kane again added late goals.
Spurs joined already-qualified Bayern Munich in advancing from Group B. Robert Lewandowski scored four goals as Bayern thrashed Red Star 6-0 to stay perfect after five games.
Madrid also squandered a two-goal lead in a 2-2 home draw with Paris Saint-Germain, though the 13-time European champions had already qualified before kickoff thanks to the draw between Galatasaray and Club Brugge. PSG was already sure of progressing from Group A.
Man City could only draw 1-1 at home to Shakhtar Donetsk but that was enough to seal first place in Group C and a place in the knockout stage.
Atletico Madrid lost 1-0 at already-qualified Juventus — with Paulo Dybala scoring with a brilliant free kick from an acute angle — and could still get beaten to second place by Bayer Leverkusen, which is only a point back in third after beating Lokomotiv Moscow 2-0 away.
