MH17 crash: Accused Kharchenko is on temporarily occupied territory

One of the suspects in MH17 crash which killed 298 people, Ukrainian citizen Leonid Kharchenko is on the temporarily occupied territory. If he is detained and convicted by the Dutch court, the sentence will be implemented in Ukraine, as Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko said in an interview, Interfax-Ukraine reported.
“If we can detain this person, if the Dutch court sentences him, the verdict of the court will be implemented on the territory of Ukraine,” the message reads.
As it was reported, Kharcehnko remains at large and if he is detained, he will be arrested under the decision of the Ukrainian court “and he will testify via video link in the Dutch court”.

Lutsenko noted that the sentence of the Dutch court is compulsory on the territory of Ukraine according to the bilateral agreement between Ukraine and Holland.
Prosecutor’s Office of the Netherlands will press charges on MH17 crash in Donbas in June 2014 against Igor Girkin (Strelkov), Sergiy Dubynsky, Oleg Pulatov, and Leonid Kharchenko. 

Boeing 777 of Malaysian Airlines was shot down by the anti-aircraft missile in the sky over Donetsk region on July 17, 2014. The aircraft was on its way from Amsterdam to Kuala-Lumpur. 298 people were aboard; no one survived the crash. The Joint Investigation Team found out that the plane was shot from the Buk missile launcher; it belonged to the 53rd Missile Brigade based in Kursk region, Russia.
