The Central Election Commission
named the amount of the deposit for the participants in the parliamentary elections and started receiving the cash collateral. The press service of the CEC reported this.
According to the decision of the Commission, the party, which put forward the electoral roll of candidates for MPs in the national constituency, has to pay $157,991.

If the party nominated a candidate for MPs in a single-member constituency, the self-nominator has to pay $1,580.
Earlier, on May 24, the electoral process kicked off in Ukraine; early parliamentary elections are scheduled for July 21, 2019.

According to the Ukrainian legislation, the electoral process of snap elections begins on the next day after the President’s decree on early termination of the mandate of Verkhovna Rada and appointment of the new elections is published. Therefore, the electoral process starts on May 24 without Central Commission making any decisions.
The representatives of the Commission noted that the body acts based on the Constitution and law of Ukraine which reads that the Commission has no competence to decide whether President’s decrees are constitutional or unconstitutional. The body also has no right to appeal to the Constitutional Court.
