Ukraine intends to suggest the European Union review the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.  Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, stated this, as the governmental portal reported.
“It possible to speak about the review of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement in 2020, in five years after the agreement came into force. Naturally, that we together with our colleagues from different ministries have to work in order to suggest out terms, in particular concerning the change of the structure of the economy in comparison to the time, when we conducted the first consultations (concerning the Agreement on association),” Klympush-Tsintsadze stated.

According to Klympush-Tsintsadze, Ukraine fulfilled 52% of the planned tasks of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement over 2018.
As we reported earlier, the European Commission has approved the issuance of 37 million Euros to fund the 2018 Program of Technical Cooperation. This is part of the comprehensive procedure foreseen by the provisions of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.
The funding is supposed to cover the needs of Ukrainian institutions in the strengthening of democratic principles, human rights, and basic freedoms.
