#CorrectUA: Munich airport changes transliteration of Kyiv

Open source
Munich airport is the first one in Germany to join #CorrectUA initiative and changed the spelling of the Ukrainian cities in German and English, as it was reported on Twitter.
“The first airport in Germany has joined the initiative #CorrectUA and now uses Kyiv with a correct transliteration in German and English. Munich’s guests, meet #KyjiwkeinKiew #KyivNotKiev,” the message reads.

In October 2018, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine launched the online campaign dubbed #CorrectUA, which urges the foreign media and airports to change the spelling of the capital of Ukraine from Kiev to Kyiv (#KyivNotKiev).
The list of international airports that changed the spelling includes Budapest, Tallinn, London, Gdansk, Batumi, Tbilisi, Bucharest, Istanbul, Tel Aviv, Toronto, and Warsaw.
The Ukrainian authorities also suggest that international media use purely Ukrainian spelling for such cities as Kharkiv, Odesa, Mykolaiv, and others, as well as "Ukraine" instead of the widespread mistake, "the Ukraine."
