Russia’s President Associate Vladislav Surkov thinks that the decision of Putin on the simplification of the issuance of the Russian passports to citizens of occupied Donbas is the responsibility of Russia before “people thinking and speaking in the Russian language” as TASS reported.
“It is the responsibility of Russia before the people speaking and thinking in the Russian language as they are in a very difficult situation due to “repressive actions of Kyiv regime”, Surkov stated.
Besides, Surkov called the order of Putin “absolutely fair and inevitable”.

Earlier we reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree which facilitates the procedure of obtaining the Russian citizenship for the residents of the occupied regions of Donetsk and Luhansk (ORDLO). According to the document, the application for Russia’s citizenship which ORDLO residents file should be considered within three months.
As it was reported, Russia wanted to facilitate the process of obtaining Russian citizenship for the residents of the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics after presidential elections in Ukraine. Putin’s decree was required for that.

Ukraine’s Ministry of Temporarily Occupied Territories and IDPs reported that people who get Russian passports will lose their Ukrainian citizenship.
