The TV channel can become the place of holding an independent discussion between the presidential candidates on equal terms.

"The UA: PBC is ready to hold the TV debates in accordance with the law and will grant the official invitations to the debates for the candidates when the official final results of the first round of the presidential elections in Ukraine
are declared”, - the report said.
According to the law on The elections of the President of Ukraine in article 62 describes the procedure and the terms of holding the electioneering TV debates. In particular, such debates shell be held on the last Friday before the second round of the elections during 7:00 – 10:00 PM live, and they should last at least 60 minutes and be broadcasted by the national TV channels of UA: PBC. The electioneering TV debates can be broadcasted by the other TV channels for free as well.  

The presidential candidates should participate in the TV debates personally. In case of refusal of one of the candidates for the presidency of Ukraine to take part in the TV debates or the impossibility of their participation in the debates, the appointed time for the TV debates is given to another candidate for this post.
UA: PBC invited Petro Poroshenko, Yulia Tymoshenko and Volodymyr Zelensky to the previous debates. However, Petro Poroshenko and Volodymyr Zelensky refused from the televised debates. Tymoshenko came to the debates, but she left it immediately, as other participants had not come.
