Civilized world proves that Russian aggression against Ukraine to be punished, - Klimkin

Pavlo Klimkin, the Minister of the Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, thanked the USA and Canada for imposing sanctions on six persons and eight organizations of the Russian Federation due to the attack of the Ukrainian ships in the Kerch Strait on November 2018.
The key to the effectiveness of the imposed sanctions against the Russian Federation is the solidarity and unity of our friends and partners, - Klimkin wrote on Twitter.
According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the civilized world proved again that Russian aggression against Ukraine will not escape international law.

In the sanction lists are the Chairman of the Border Guard Service Gennadiy Medvedev, the Head of the Service Command Point of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol Ruslan Romashkin, the Head of the Border Directorate of Russias Federal Security Service Sergey Stankevich and his Deputy Andrey Shein were included into the sanctions list.
GUP RK KTB Sudokompozit (Sudokompozit), PAO Zvezda, AO Zavod Fiolent (Fiolent), LLC SK Consol-Stroi LTD were sanctioned as well.

Earlier, The U.S. Department of the Treasury imposedsanctions against six Russian individualsand eight Russian organizations for the attack at the Ukrainian vessels inKerch Straitin November 2016.
As we reported earlier, On November 25, the coast guard ships ofthe Russian Navy attacked the ships of the Ukrainian Navy, which have been carrying out a scheduled transition from Odesa port to Mariupol port in theSea of Azov.Ukrainian ships were rejected passage via the Kerch Strait, Russian coast guards opened aimed fire on them.
All 24 sailors on board were captured and delivered to Moscow 21 of them were delivered to Lefortovoremand center,the rest cameto the hospital of Matrosskaya Tishina prison.
Facing an extension of the sentence term,Ukrainian POWs detained in the Kerch Strait refused to testify in Lefortovo court. Sailors were distributed into six groups, four people in each. On January 15, 2019, Moscow's Lefortovo district court decided tokeep 20 Ukrainian sailors in remand until April 24. On January 16, thecourt extended the detention term for another 4 sailors.
