Ukraine's Parliament wants to ban Russian observers from attending presidential elections

The Verkhovna Rada registered the bill No.9524. The document calls for ruling out the participation of the observers from the aggressor state in the presidential and parliamentary elections in Ukraine, as Iryna Gerashchenko, First Vice-Speaker, reported on Facebook.
“I and my colleagues registered the bill on the impossibility of attending the Ukrainian presidential and parliamentary elections for the observers from aggressor state Russia,” she wrote.

She thanked Iryna Lutsenko, the President’s Representative to the Parliament, Member of Parliament from Petro Poroshenko Bloc “Solidarity”, for the initiative.
The election campaign has officially started on December 31, 2018. Registration of the candidates would last until February 4, 2019, and on February 9, the final list of presidential candidates will appear. The candidates would be able to withdraw his candidacy until March 7, 2019.

Earlier, Central Election Commission of Ukraine closed all polling station in Russia, particularly, Moscow, Rostov-on-Don, Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk.
Besides, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin warned that Ukraine does not intend to approve applications from the Russian OSCE observers at the elections.
