USS Donald Cook missile destroyer en route to the Black Sea

U.S. destroyer USS Donald Cook (DDG-75) is heading for the Black Sea. It is reported by the press service of the U.S. Navy.
"The U.S. Navy continues to support our allies and partners in the common regional interests to ensure stability at sea. Our visit to the Black Sea will demonstrate the cooperation of the Navy in achieving common security goals in the region," said destroyer commander Matthew J. Powell.
The fact that the ship is en route to the Black Sea was also announced by the Ukrainian Ambassador to the US Valeriy Chaly on his Facebook page.

Earlier USS Fort McHenry, the landing ship of the U.S. naval forces arrived in the Romanian port of Constanta in the Black Sea, .
USS Fort McHenry is the first American vessel which arrived in the Black Sea after Russia captured Ukrainian sailors and ships in Kerch Strait.
It is expected that the U.S. vessel will be in Constanta till January 10. Then, it will carry out mutual naval manoeuvers with the Romanian frigate in the territorial and international waters.
500 U.S. Marines can be placed on the ship, which is equipped with a well-dock for five air-bag transportation boats designed for landing of troops and the military equipment.
