The European Commission plans to allocate 4,5 billion Euro for Ukraine’s integration into the Trans-European Transport Network. Ukrainian Center for Transport Strategies reported that.
“39 Ukrainian infrastructure projects specified in the Drive Ukraine 2030 strategy are now included into an indicative plan of construction of the TEN-T trans-European transport network,” reads the message.
The plan is prepared by the EU and the World Bank to develop transport communication in the countries of the Western Partnership.
“When we say that the implementation of the Drive Ukraine costs about 60 billion dollars, it means that at least 50% of the sum is funded by the state budget and 10% by our European partners, international financial organizations and at the expense of public-private partnership,” Volodymyr Omelyan, the Minister of Infrastructure, states.

According to the Minister, implementing these 39 projects shall enable deeper promotion of Ukraine’s infrastructural integration and Ukraine will become an integral part of the European transport network eventually.
As we reported earlier, Ukraine officially became part of the all-European transport network TEN-T on November 24. Ukraine and the European Union concluded a document on "High Level Understanding on TEN-T core network extension maps to Ukraine".
The TEN-T trans-European network is an infrastructure project of the European Union, which envisages the creation by 2050 of a new transport system in the EU, comprising 94 ports, 38 airports and about 15,000 km of high-speed railways.
