A citizen of Ukraine received minor injuries as a result of explosion at a Paris bakery. This was announced by the head of the Ukrainian Embassy in France consular department, Mykola Sobko, reports Ukrinform.
"The man lived in a hotel opposite the building, where the explosion occurred, and received minor injuries," the diplomat said.
According to him, Ukrainian was provided with the necessary consular assistance. His health condition is assessed as satisfactory.
As reported, a strong explosion thundered at a bakery located on rue de Trevise in Paris downtown, around 9 a.m. local time. As a result of the blast, windows in neighboring houses were broken.
According to preliminary data, the explosion occurred due to a gas leak. After it, a fire started in the building.

The media noted that this bakery was supposed to be closed on Saturday morning.
Remy Heitz, the Paris prosecutor, said that the blast had been “manifestly accidental,” telling reporters at the site: “First there was a gas leak, then the arrival of the firefighters, followed by an explosion that caused the fire.”
