The mercenaries from Wagner private military company may be participating in the suppression of public protests in Khartum, the capital city of Sudan. The Times referred to photos shot in Khartum and the reports by the local opposition.
White men in camouflage arrived in Khartum inside the Ural-4320, a military van used by the Russian military. John Hutson, the political observer of The Times published respective images on Twitter.
Hutson wrote that the said men reached the site of the protest actions on December 31, assuming that the individuals could be the members of Wagner PMC.
According to The Times, the anti-government uprising in Sudan became the largest threat for the military dictatorship of Omar al-Bashir who has been in power for 30 years in a row.
