Security Service banned 157 Russians from entry to Ukraine in 2018

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) banned 157 citizens of the Russian Federation from the entry to Ukraine in 2018 as SBU reported.
“In 2018, 157 citizens of the Russian Federation were not allowed to enter Ukraine, including 83 propagandists,” the message said.

Moreover, the SBU uncovered and blocked 360 cyber incidents: 49 administrators of the groups in the social networks were prosecuted for the anti-Ukrainian propaganda, 29 persons were notified about suspicion and 20 sentences came into force.
The military counterintelligence exposed 152 militants of the self-proclaimed “Donetsk People’s Republic” and “Luhansk People’s Republic”, 54 of them were detained in 2018.

Besides, the SBU prevented eight terrorist acts in the territory of Ukraine; five of them were solved. Totally, 28 terrorist acts were prevented in 2016-2018.
As we reported the counterintelligence department of Ukraine’s Security Service revealed 71 people involved in the intelligence-sabotage activities of the foreign special services in Ukraine in 2018.
