75-year-old Japanese language school director found dead at home

Police are investigating the murder of a 75-year-old man who was director of the International School of Funabashi, after his body was found in his apartment in Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture.
According to police, the body of Jiro Iwai was found by a female employee of the Japanese language school at around 1:30 p.m. on Nov 25, Fuji TV reported Wednesday. Iwai lived alone in his apartment on the top floor of a 29-story building.
Police said Iwai was found lying on his back, bleeding from head wounds. An autopsy revealed he had been struck multiple times by a blunt object.
There were no signs of a struggle or that his apartment had been ransacked.
Police said Iwai was last seen alive on the morning of Nov 23. A neighbor said: “He was a gentle old man and I would always see him walking very slowly in the neighborhood.”
