WhatsApp allows users to doodle on photos, videos

WhatsApp allows users to doodle on photos, videos"When you capture a new photo or video or share one that's already on your phone, you'll automatically see the new editing tools. Whether you’re drawing a big red heart to show how much you miss someone or adding your favorite emoji - sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words. Try adding text too, and change the color and font style," said the company on its official blog.

Drawing on top of captured images and videos is not the only feature that comes with the app's latest update. WhatsApp also announced new capabilities that allow users to enhance their photo quality in low light and at night, zoom in and out by simply sliding their finger up and down, and switch between front and rear facing cameras by simply double tapping on the screen.

Android users will reportedly be able to enjoy the new camera features right away, while iPhone users will have to wait a little while longer.

Facebook has been borrowing Snapchat’s features for several months now, reported The Verge, with the latest one being implementing Snapchat's stories on Instagram. Its CEO Mark Zuckerberg even attempted to acquire the startup for a few billion dollars, but to no avail.
