iPhone 7 on sale in 28 countries

iPhone 7 on sale in 28 countriesThe new generation iPhones are finally out in US and 24 other countries and most of the models are already out of stock.

Every year, the initial iPhone sales are almost ceremonial in nature, with people flocking to the Apple stores days before the sale begins. This year was slightly different with more and more consumers opting to buy the phones online.

The devices went on sale in 25 different countries one week after they were unveiled. Australia's Sydney was first to get their hands on the new pair of iPhones. Yesterday, Apple revealed that the new colour, jet black was out of stock even before hitting the stores. In US, the jet black version of iPhone 7 Plus will only be available in the month of November.

Apple doesn't provide any sales information in the initial weeks of the launch as it believes that the numbers are an indication of the supply rather than demand. But so far, judging by the pre-orders Apple received, the bigger iPhone 7 Plus is a hot favourite among Apple enthusiasts and the new black colour is selling like hot cakes.

The dual-lens camera on the iPhone 7 Plus is being touted as a game changer in the smartphone camera market. The combination of a wide-lens and a telephoto camera module will let users experiment around with the enhanced optical zoom.

In India, the devices will hit the store on October 7 with pre-orders already in progress. The iPhone 7 Plus will come in three variants, 32GB, 128GB and 256GB which will cost Rs 72,000, Rs 82,000 and Rs 92,000 respectively.

The iPhone 7 will also come in 32GB, 128GB and 256GB variants and will be priced at Rs 60,000, Rs 70,000 and Rs 80,000 respectively.
