‘Fake news’ becomes Collins Dictionary’s Expression of Year 2017

'Fake]' collocation became the expression of 2017, according to the Collins English Dictionary.
The dictionary defines fake news as’ false, often sensational, information disseminated under the guise of news reporting'.
Collins added that the collocation’s use frequency increased by 365 percent compared to that of the previous year. In particular, Donald Trump often uses ‘fake news’ collocation on his Twitter account.
In 2016, the Collins most popular word was 'Brexit'.
