A mountaineer from Ukraine died while climbing Mount Elbrus in the Russian Federation. It is reported by the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry General Directorate in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.
According to the report, the man felt sick at an altitude of 3500 meters: he lost consciousness and fell.
"According to preliminary data, a climber from Ukraine was found without signs of life," the report underlines.
Now local rescuers are evacuating the body of the deceased.
This was a young man, born in 1985.
The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine does not comment on the information about the death of a Ukrainian on the Mount Elbrus.

Earlier, four rescued tourists have been escorted down from Pip Ivan mountain in the Carpathians. This was reported in the Office of the State Emergency Service in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
"At 9:10 a.m., rescuers and volunteers began escorting a group of 4 people from Pip Ivan to Pogorilets tract. As of 12:30 p.m., four injured people were taken to Pogorilets tract. After a medical examination, they refused hospitalization and went to their place of permanent residence," the statement said.
