Some parents ask me – why should their children study and how should they understand the education reforms[/img]
the reform of education is not just an improvement. It's all new. Another form and another content of studying.
The reforms seem to be correct, but unbearable for people. And not because they are stupid or conservative. No one is an enemy to their children ...
Therefore, taking into account the experience of the advanced countries, we ourselves conducted such thorough and complete marketing and determined that in order for the reforms to look just as useful and long-awaited, it is necessary to have answers to 7 basic key issues.
Why to study? And then the answer is obvious: not the learning of mathematics or geography, or even the passing of tests and exams, but the achievement of 7-10 basic human parameters to the end of the school, which are really needed for admission and training in the university and for employers.
When we define these final parameters, then we can answer the second question with sufficient accuracy.
What to learn? This is a set of knowledge, skills - a full curriculum, an expanded curriculum. It is linked to the first question.
Because for different purposes the program will be different. Those who want to be able to drive a car, must learn by one program, and who likes to drive a yacht - will have a completely different program.
Because the world, discoveries and science are so far ahead of the harsh system of education that the latter must urgently catch up with them. And update knowledge.
There are already many new knowledge carriers. This is no longer a teacher and not only paper textbooks, but also Internet, network, media libraries, etc.
When we determine the curriculum, then the time comes for the third question:
How to learn? Namely - what technologies, methods and tools are needed to assimilate the curriculum. Because depending on these technologies, training will be effective or unsuccessful, long or fast, deep or shallow ...
Thanks to them, lessons cease to be boring. Moreover, children attend them with pleasure. Is not this one of our goals?
When a set of technologies becomes clear, then only the following question arises, because earlier it would be senseless to solve it:
Who will teach? And this is not just a teacher. In the 21st century, these are different people, except for the indicated: mentors, coaches, practitioners, tutors, lecturers, social networks ...
They ask: how can they be re-trained so that they correspond? Very simple. If the answers to the first three questions are known, then the teachers will quickly master all the new educational processes.
(Looking ahead, I will say that the answers have already been found, tested and implemented in many schools not only in Ukraine, but in other countries.) So all the algorithm given here is very practical.)
When we sorted out with teachers-tutors-mentors-navigators ..., we turn to the next question.
Where to study? In online, offline, etc. I would even have reconsidered the Soviet gradation into 3 levels of schools, turning them into 6, which is more modern. And it would also westernize the most important thing in the world long ago.
In the West, school buildings for young children and for adults are different buildings. That's why we can reformat schools in microdistricts.
Instead of the same complete schools for all, from the age of 6 to 18, to redistribute them to primary school (the whole building) and middle and senior. This would be a powerful step forward to improve the quality of education and improve the psychological environment in schools.
After that, when the whole scheme is basically algorithmized, and the model as a whole is built, the time for the main question comes.
How much does it cost and who will pay for it. Answer: There are a lot of sources of financing, they are all applicable, and there should be enough money.
And finally, the last question.
What do we get in the end, as a result? Here, approximately 7-10 indicators of schoolchild performance.
After all, every parent, rector and employer would like to see in addition to classical knowledge - the modern knowledge, foreign languages - that the child was healthy (is it not important?) - that he has a strong character, short- and long-term memory, the ability to work with information, practical skills, and competences.
This would be reform as a transition from the soviet old-fashioned education system to the new one, as we once moved from carts to cars.
Then we would not go to Finland and Singapore, but they would visit us. This would be the most important indicator that we are the leaders of education in the world. And it would be a real case.
That, in principle, is not so difficult, and we are able to achieve such a goal.
Back to school!
