President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during his working visit to Avdiivka on August 26 launched the full-fledged operation of the Ocheretyno-Avdiivka gas main, which will provide the city with gas supply from the territory under Kyiv's control. The broadcast was conducted by 112 Ukraine.

At the end of his speech, the president expressed his intention to visit the houses of local residents with the hope of trying a borscht cooked on "Ukrainian gas."

During the speech, Poroshenko also said that he intends to urge the EU countries to help the settlements of Donbas.

Note that the renewal of gas supply to Avdiivka was declared by the State Administration on August 20. At the same time, the head of the administration said that in the next few days the gas will be received by residents of the settlements of the Yasinovata district.

We recall that the gas was supplied to Avdiivka through the main gas pipeline Makiivka - Avdiivka. In the summer of 2017, the gas pipeline section was damaged as a result of another shelling by militants. Thus, 20 thousand inhabitants of Avdiivka remained without gas.
