Fire in Chornobyl exclusion zone extinguished completely, - State Emergency Service

The fire, which had broken out in the forest in Chornobyl exclusion zone, northern Ukraine, is completely extinguished. The State Emergency Service reported that on Thursday evening.
'The fire in the forest area in the exclusion zone has been put out', the message said. 
138 men and 25 vehicles were involved in the operation; specifically, the rescue aircraft dropped 318 tons of water on the area.
The current radiation background in Kyiv makes 13 mcR/h (the allowable level is 30 mcR/h); the background in the industrial area makes 51.6 (with the allowable level being 140 mcR/h).
The fire started on June 5; the cause was the ignition of the dry grass. However, the firemen found some torches on the scene; the police opened a criminal investigation on a possible arson in the area.
At first, the total area engulfed by the fire totaled 10 hectares; then, the firemen managed to cut the area twice.
