Shooting in Berlin Cathedral: Man wielded two knives, sustained leg wound

Sky News
Gunfire occurred in Berlin on Friday afternoon, as the local police detained a rampaging man in Berlin Cathedral, the city's one of the most popular tourist sites.
According to Twitter of the police department of Berlin, the detainee sustained a gunshot wound to his leg; the police had to open fire, as the attacker carried two knives.
One of the policemen was wounded, too, as the attacker resisted arrest.
There were some 100 visitors inside the cathedral at the time.
'A spokesman said that there was no sign the incident had been motivated by terrorism. He added: "Based on what we know so far, we have no information that the suspect in any way had a terrorist or Islamist motive." The spokesman later said the man, whose threatening behaviour led police to shoot him in the leg, was a 53-year-old Austrian who had been wielding a knife and was "verbally aggressive", Sky News reported.
