Sentsov agrees to undertake supportive therapy during hunger strike

Oleg Sentsov, Ukrainian political prisoner, who is on a hunger strike for a 15th day, agreed to undertake the supportive therapy, as the message on the website of Russia’s Federal Penitentiary Service.
“We inform that for now the convicted Sentsov, who refused to consume food, is under the care of the health workers of the facility he is serving his sentence. At present, Sentsov started receiving a supporting therapy, to which he gave his consent,” the message says.
At the same time, the representatives of Russia's Federal Penitentiary Service assure that within the hunger strike, Sentsov’s health did not worsen.

“For today, his health condition is satisfactory. We talk to the convicted regularly about the negative consequences a long hunger strike causes to the body,” the representatives of Russia’s Federal Penitentiary Service.
As it is known, Ukrainian movie director Oleg Sentsov and Crimean activist Oleksandr Kolchenko were detained by the Russian FSB in the annexed Crimea. Both were taken to Russia. Sentsov was charged with preparing a terrorist act in Crimea and sentenced to 20 years in the high-security penal colony. Kolchenko was sentenced to ten-years-long imprisonment.

In his turn, Sentsov said he was ready to die if his demands are ignored. 
Apart from Sentsov, Volodymyr Balukh, another Ukrainian political prisoner, went on a hunger strike. Former safeguard of Dmytro Yarosh Oleksandr Shumkov joined Sentsov.
