The winner of Eurovision 2018, Netta Barzilai from Israel has declined an offer to perform in Russia on June 8. This is mentioned in the message at Telegram channel Super.
Netta was invited to perform at the Transformation Awards Ceremony in Russia, held by MuzTV channel. However, her manager turned down the offer, saying Netta will be busy on that day, as she intends to join the gay parade in Tel Aviv, which matters to her much more. Besides, the artist expressed concern over the fact that such events are banned in Russia.
Netta won in the grand finale of Eurovision 2018; the contest took place in Lisbon, Portugal. Her song Toy was created under the impression of the Internet flash mob called Me Too, where women shared their stories about cases of sexual harassment against them.
