Ukrainian Parliament approves bill on telemedicine in rural areas

Verkhovna Rada, the Ukrainian parliament, approved the bill on in the country’s rural areas, which supports the development of telemedicine in Ukrainian villages. MPs gave 280 votes, with 226 necessary to pass the document.
The law foresees creation and support of all suitable conditions for proper administration of telemedicine healthcare services in rural areas in the timely fashion; healthcare service programs in these areas will be modernized. According to the bill, villagers will enjoy the right of free primary healthcare, which will be funded from the government and regional budgets. Investments will be involved, too.
