One of wouned in Dnipro policemen has his leg amputated, - doctor

Surgeons had to amputate the leg of one law enforcer, who was wounded on the night of November 5 during the arrest of burglars in Dnipro. This in an exclusive commentary to 112 Ukraine was reported by the head doctor of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Hospital Serhiy Ryzhenko.

"One policeman from the National Police was taken to the hospital in very bad condition, the doctors quickly helped him and prevented a large bleeding from the wound of the 40-year-old officer. After a consultation we started.
The doctor does not have information about the status of other police officers.

Earlier, adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs Zoryan Shkiryak noted that the lives of five wounded law enforcement officers in Dnipro are not under the threat.
A group of burglars were busted in late on Saturday; as the police team arrived and tried to bring them in, the criminals resisted and picked a fight.
According to the PR department of Dnipropetrovsk regional police branch, the burglars had two hand grenades and firearms; a grenade explosion caused five policemen injuries of various degrees of severity.    
The criminal investigation into the incident is underway.
