35 ISIS suspects arrested in TurkeyTurkish police detained 35 ISIS suspects in an anti-terror operation in Istanbul, Anadolu Agency reported on Wednesday.

The police official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that police raided 41 different addresses in the districts of Sultanbeyli and Pendik.

During the search police seized six cartridges, several documents and military camouflage.

Detained suspects were taken to the Counter-Terrorism Branch Headquarters.

There was no information on the suspects or their nationalities.

The operation follows a series of ISIS-linked terror attacks in Turkey, most recently the New Year’s Eve shooting at the Reina nightclub in Istanbul that killed 39 people.

Last year, Turkey suffered a series of deadly attacks carried out by IS or Kurdish militants and has stepped up anti-terrorism operations across the country. Some 750 people with alleged IS links were detained in a major police sweep in 29 Turkish provinces earlier this month.
