The average person spends 23 minutes per day in attempt to find something decent to watch.
The 44 percent of Americans said they have trouble finding worthy shows to watch, according to the Ericsson ConsumerLab TV and Media Report 2016.
The average person will waist 1.3 years of their lives to switch channels and study their on-screen guides.
Ericsson surveyed 30,000 people in 24 countries, and says its study represents the TV habits of more than 1 billion people worldwide.
Between 2010 and 2016, mobile viewing has surged 85 percent while viewing on fixed-screen TVs has declined 14 percent, according to the study.
