Ukrainian public employment service to sack 40% of its staffThe total number of employees to be reduced up to 12,230 employees, UBR.

As part of the reform of the Public Employment Service in Ukraine, some administrative functions of the employment centres are planned to be passed to the regional level, according to the press service of Public Employment Service of Ukraine.

Thus, the number of personnel of the basic employment centres that deal with administrative and economic activities will be reduced by 40%.

At the same time, the number of basic-level workers who provide services to customers, will be increased by 6%.

Also, the planned reorganization foresees the number of facilities to be reduced by 41 units, among which 6 are rented.

This measure will lead to significant cost savings.

To minimize the administrative burden and to increase the efficiency, employment centres will lose their status of legal entities instead their will be turned into branches.
