Benefits for purchase of solid fuel, liquefied gas for households in Ukraine increased

Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers has increased benefits for the purchase of solid fuel to UAH 2,000 per tonne and liquefied natural gas (LNG) to UAH 200 per container for households in 2016.
The decision was made at a government meeting on Monday.
"The draft resolution to revise the limits on the cost of solid fuel and LNG to provide benefits to households and housing subsidies is proposed. The upper limit for the cost of solid fuel for benefits and subsidies in 2016 is proposed at UAH 2,000 per tonne of solid fuel, which is 23.5% up on 2015, and UAH 200 per container of LNG," Social Policy Minister Andriy Reva said at a government meeting.
He said that the subventions from the national budget should be increased by UAH 1.3 billion to finance the above-said measures.
The total subventions for the purposes would grow to UAH 2.5 billion.
Expenses will be covered thanks to the redistribution of funds for subsidies accumulated on accounts of enterprises providing services after having the results of 2015/16 heating season in connection to warm winter.
