Ukraine's Defense Ministry will be reformed, personnel to be re-assessed

Ukraine's Defense Ministry will be reformed, personnel to be re-assessedUkrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak expects a change in the organizational structure and functional responsibilities of the ministry's personnel.

"This won't be a mechanical reduction in the personnel, although the number of officers will be reduced by 200 men, and the number of departments and divisions will be halved. The ministry's entire personnel will undergo re-assessment," he said at a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

According to him, all servicemen at the ministry will have to pass lie detector tests, and their education and experience background will be taken into consideration.
