Number of TruCam devices on Ukraine's roadways grows

Ukraine's patrol police increased the number of TruCam devices on the roadways across the country. Until today, May 13, it was 75; now, it's 100. The press office of the Interior Ministry reported that May 13, quoting Oleksiy Biloshytsky, the Deputy Head of the Patrol Police Department.
'We added another 25 (devices) on the road sections of increased accident risk, the reason of which is mostly exceeding the speed limits', he said.

'It's as open as it gets, it aims to prevent [accidents] as much as possible, for our goal is not to bring to justice as many as possible, but to prevent a violation, to reduce speed. One single thing remains: to watch the road signs and not to violate... And remember, speed kills', Biloshytsky said.
The fine for speeding would make USD 9.40 (if the speed limit was exceeded by 20 km/h or more) or USD 18 (50 km/h or more).
TruCam devices were brought back to Ukraine in October 2018, after four years-long absence.
