Ukraine ended up in the Top 5 of the countries with the cheapest mobile internet; it is currently ranked fourth in the list compiled by Worldwide Mobile Data Pricing - after India, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
'Ukraine is a near-triopoly, with three providers – Lifecell, Vodafone Ukraine and Kyivstar fighting over a saturated market. Like its broadband deals, mobile data in Ukraine is both cheap and plentiful', the message said.

The most expensive mobile data is reported to be in Zimbabwe (the average price is USD 75 per 1 Gb), Greece (almost USD 33), Chad (USD 23), Switzerland (USD 20), Turkmenistan (USD 20), Greenland (almost USD 17) and some other countries.
In July 2018, three major companies: Kyivstar, Vodafone Ukraine, and Lifecell have launched the 4G cellular network in the frequency range of 1800 MHz, according to the statements of the companies. ‘Clients of Vodafone have downloaded two times more traffic than usual at night for the first hours of 4G,’ reads the message on the provider's website.
