Poland re-examines Kaczynski plane wreckage in Smolensk

A team of Polish and Russian experts on Monday, September 3, started an inspection of the wreckage of Tu-154M plane of the ex-president Lech Kaczynski at Smolensk North Airport,

According to the message, this morning, a delegation of 5 Polish prosecutors and 5 criminological technicians visited the Smolensk branch of the Investigation Committee of the Russian Federation.
The examination is expected to last until September 7. It is planned that all actions will be carried out by Russian specialists, and the Polish side will take control of their work.
The purpose of the trip is an additional review of aggregates, subsystems and structural elements of the aircraft.

Earlier, it was reported that the experts who held the exhumation and forensic examination of 77 victims of Smolensk plane crash
within the investigation started in 2016 claimed that 69 fragments of bodies of 26 persons were at other peoples’ coffins. 
Poland pays more and more attention to the possible involvement of Russia in the crash. Intrigue is added with the fact that the fragments of Tu-154 are still in the Russian Federation. According to Russian law, they must remain at the disposal of Russian investigators until the investigation is completed. Russia promises to return them to Poland after the completion of all investigative actions.
