U.K. urges U.S., EU to coordinate sanctions against Russia

Jeremy Hunt, the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs of the UK has urged the U.S. and EU to coordinate the sanctions against Russia as BBC reported.
“Today the UK asks its allies to go further. We urge the European Union to do so that the sanctions against Russia were of the comprehensive nature and show that we are standing shoulder to shoulder with the US,” Hunt claimed.

Hunt highlighted four reasons for concern: first of them is the policy of the Kremlin. According to him, Russia constantly flouts the established rules of the interaction at the international stage and threatens the world security.
The second problem is the shifting of the economic balance to the east while there is the absence of the desire of Chine to imbed to the western values system. The third threat, according to Hunt, is the post-crisis derogate from the democracy in West under the pressure of the populism, and the fourth is the Islamic extremism.

As we reported U.S. leaders are working on the bill on sanctions that get in the way of construction of Nord Stream II pipeline. The restrictions will be imposed on companies and banks involved in the construction works, or other financial entities funding the project.
Also, the U.S. imposed new anti-Russian sanctions because of poisoning of Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia.
