Central District courtin Simferopol controlled by the Kremlin sentenced OleksandrSteshenkofromKharkivto two years in prison to be served in a penal settlement.Krym.Realiireports this with a reference to the data of the Russian FSB in Crimea and Sevastopol.
Steshenkowas found guilty in the arson of the house of Crimean muftiEmiraliAlbayev. Thesecurityforces claim thatSteshenkoadmitted his guilt during the investigation and applied for the special order of the judicial proceedings. This is why the criminalproceeding againstSteshenkoin the part of committing another offense is terminated due to thesincere repentance, reads the message.

Reportedly,OleksandrSteshenkowas detained by the Russian security forces at the administrative border with the occupied Crimea in April.
Last time Oleksandr got in touch on the morning of April 11: He called his mother and said that the Russian border officers inChonharare doubt about the similarity of him and the photo in his passport.

Russian FSB refuted thedetention of the Ukrainian. In their turn, Ukrainian MFA directed a note to the Russian Federation with arequest to voice the reasons for the detention of OleksandrSteshenko.
