The leadership of the social network Facebook has blocked 32 interrelated pages created for the influence on the political opinion of the U.S. citizens before the election to the Congress that should take place in November as Deutsche Welle reported.
Totally, 290,000 people subscribed on such private and public pages. They worked on the same principle as the pages controlled by the Russian Internet Researches Agency (IRA).

At the same time, it is unknown whether these 32 pages were connected to the Russian organization.
Facebook noted that it is not easy to identify those who organized the network of the interrelated pages.
"We are still on the initial stage of our investigation and do not possess all fact, particularly who is behind this," the company noted.

The American Department of Homeland Security positively noted the actions of Facebook.
"It is really good news as it shows that Facebook seriously treats it (the possible interference to the American election). We should praise them for what they have done," Kirstjen Nielsen, the Head of the Department said.

As we reported Dan Coats, director of National intelligence of the US commented the meeting of Trump and Putin, claiming that the intelligence has made clear on the interference of Russia in the American election.
Earlier Russian Foreign Ministry commented the decision of Robert Mueller, the U.S. Special Counsel, to press charges against 12 Russian military intelligence officers. According to the representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the aim of these accusations is to spoil the atmosphere before the Russia-USA Summit.
