German Ombudsman calls Russia to provide medical aid to Sentsov, - ambassador

'BarbelKofler, German Ombudsmanhas called Russia to provide an urgent medical aid to OlegSentsov, and to immediatelyreleasehim andOleksandrKolchenko,' Melnik claimed.

The statement said that the decision of the European Court for Human Rights on the need of provision of the medical aid toSentsovdemonstrates their concern over his health condition.
KolnichenkoandSentsovwere detained by the intelligence services of Russia in May of 2014. They were accused of the organization of terrorist acts on the peninsula.Kolchenkowassentencedto ten years of the colony,Sentsovto 20 years in the summerof 2015.Both of them plead notguilty.

Kolchenkodeclared a hunger strike at the end of the May demanding the release of OlegSentsov. After sometime he had to suspend the protest due to the weakness. In his turn,Sentsovstarted the hunger strike on May 14, demanding the release of all 64 Ukrainian political prisoners detained in Russia.
