Ukraine's Defense Ministry intends to conduct an early check of the military property, stored at Kharkiv tank factory. The authority reported this, responding to the request from Hromadske news agency.
'The Defense Ministry organized the work on an early stock control of the military property, which is stored on the premises of the state enterprise of Kharkiv tank factory; it will be embedded to units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the respective safekeeping contract will be signed', the authority said in the commentary on the issue.
The Ministry explained that the factory's administration refused to sign the security contract with the Cabinet, which explains the recent incident; as is known, two bloggers infiltrated the factory's premises, putting the unguarded military vehicles on the video record.

'The property, held on the premises of the enterprise, is kept safe within the requirements of the company's statute, or the respective contract. In 2013, the agreement was signed. But since 2014, the state-run enterprise of Kharkiv tank factory has repeatedly refused to sign it', the Ministry concluded.
Earlier, two bloggers from Kharkiv, northeastern Ukraine, infiltrated the premises of a local tank factory where hundreds of old tanks are stored. They recorded the video which they put on their YouTube account; however, as of the evening of July 17, the actual video has been already deleted.  The video clearly showed that there's no security on the infrastructure object, with the watchtower partially destroyed, and the gates between the parts of the storage left opened.
The bloggers confirmed that they found some 300 old Soviet tanks and about a dozen new ones - 'plus the vehicle, which brought them there'. 'It looked like tanks show! The new tanks had seals on them, - apparently, they were never used', reads the description of the video. The police of Kharkiv region opened a criminal case on the fact of illegal infiltration onto the premises of a state-run facility.
