UK conducts dirty assets probe, most suspects are Russians

The British National Crime Agency (NCA) has been running checks of the sources and origins of the assets of roughly 130 people, many of them being the Russian oligarchs.
According to The Times, the refreshed set of rules has been in place since January. All those involved in committing serious crimes have to report on the origins of their assets, if the total worth of these exceeds GBP 50,000.

'NCA officials are understood to have scaled up investigations into businessmen linked to Vladimir Putin’s regime after the attempted murder of a Russian former spy in Salisbury. Britain’s intelligence community blamed Russia for the nerve agent attack on Sergei Skripal, his daughter Yulia and a police officer in March,' reads the article.
The British government, however, reiterates that the investigation is not based on the ethnic origin of suspects.
