US publishes report witnessing Russia's interference in American election through Facebook

A report on the Russian interference in the American election through paid ads in Facebook was
published] on Intelligence.
The committee claimed that Committee's member Adam Schiff claimed at the open hearing in November 2017 that the Russian campaign in the social networks aimed to split the US and incite the unrests on the ground of the disagreement.

'They (the Russians) did this by creating  fake accounts, pages and communities to push divisive online content and videos, and to mobilize real Americans, unwittingly, to sign online petitions and join rallies and protests', the message said.
According to the report, Russia attempted to influence the American election through the Facebook groups concerning LGBT-community and African-Americans.

According to the intelligence, Russia has paid for about 3, 500 ads and 11.4 million Americans have seen them. The Russian 'troll factories'
have created about 470 pages in the social network and published about 80, 00 content items.
Earlier in the framework of the investigation of Russia meddling in the U.S. presidential election in 2016, the US has accused 13 Russian citizens. The statement accuses Internet Research Agency also known as Russian 'troll factory'.
