The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine condemned the prolongation of the arrest of Ukrainian citizen Pavlo Gryb
, who is in the pretrial detention center of Krasnodar, and urged the Russian Federation to allow Ukrainian doctors to see the prisoner. This was stated on Twitter by the speaker of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Mariana Betza.

"We strongly condemn the" decision "of the Russian court and demand the release of political prisoner Pavlo Gryb, and we also demand admission of Ukrainian doctors," Betza wrote.

We recall, on April 28 District Court in Russia's Krasnodar extended detention for the Ukrainian political prisoner for another two months - until July 4. The father of the Pavlo  Gryb noted that during his stay in the prison his son's eyesight deteriorated significantly.

Since early 2018, Ukrainian political prisoner Pavlo Gryb has been facing an increased psychological pressure, as he remains in the Russian prison cell. His father Ihor Gryb said that as quoted by Radio Liberty.

'The investigation team has been putting a lot of pressure on him. It's tough; last year, it was different, and now it changed. They imposed certain nutrition limits. When we passed him some food last time, they refused, explaining that he needed dietary nutrition. They refused to take cheese and meat products,' he said.
According to Ihor Gryb, he has no idea about his son's actual health conditions.
'They did not let the doctors see him - nor his mother, actually. The court hearing should take place soon. We hope his Mom will at least have a chance to look at him. Last time she saw him was March 2. She says she could not recognize him; he looked very different from what he used to look', Pavlo Gryb concluded.
