UN Security Council: US accuse Russia of supporting Assad regime

United States Permanent Representative to the UN, Nikki Haley
, at an emergency meeting of the Security Council, accused Russia of using chemical weapons in Syria, including during a recent chemical attack in the Syrian city of Douma.
“Only a monster targets civilians and then ensures that there are no ambulances to transfer the wounded, no hospitals to save their lives, no doctors or medicine to ease their pain. I could hold up pictures of all of this killing and suffering for the council to see. But what would be the point? The monster who is responsible for these attacks has no conscience,” Haley said.
She also said that there are soldiers of Iran and Russia in Syria, and Russia's authorities undoubtedly sponsor the regime of Bashar al-Assad.

“We have reached the moment when the world must see justice done,” Haley said at the Security Council meeting. “History will record this as the moment when the Security Council either discharged its duty or demonstrated its utter or complete failure to protect the people of Syria. Either way, the United States will respond,” Nikki Haley added.
As it was reported earlier, an airstrike occurred in Syria's Homs on April 9. Multiple missiles hit T-4 were reported by local airbase.
Later, Russia's Defence Ministry claimed it was Israeli aircraft that launched the missiles. According to the message posted at Interfax news agency's website, two F-15C fighters launched eight missiles, three of which hit the target, and the rest were downed by the Syrian anti-missile systems.
