Missile attack at airbase in Homs, Syria: U.S. denies involvement, Russia blames Israel

An airstrike occurred in Syria's Homs on late Sunday. Multiple missiles hit T-4, the local airbase,

The U.S. Department of Defense denied that the airstrike was landed by the U.S. Air Force. 'At this time, the Department of Defense is not conducting air strikes in Syria,' the Pentagon said in a statement. 'However, we continue to closely watch the situation and support the ongoing diplomatic efforts to hold those who use chemical weapons, in Syria and otherwise, accountable,' the Pentagon said as quoted by Reuters

Later, Russia's Defence Ministry claimed it was Israeli aircraft that launched the missiles. According to the message posted at Interfax news agency's website, two F-15C fighters launched eight missiles, three of which hit the target, and the rest were downed by the Syrian anti-missile systems.  
'No casualties among Russian military counselors in Syria', the defence ministry said.
