Cambridge Analytica denies having received data of 87 million Facebook users

Open source
The Cambridge Analytica company in its press release denied that it has received the data of 87 million Facebook users.
“Today Facebook reported that information for up to 87 million people may have been improperly obtained by research company GSR. Cambridge Analytica licensed data for no more than 30 million people from GSR (Global Science Research which gathered data of Facebook users, - ed.), as is clearly stated in our contract with the research company. We did not receive more data than this,” the message says.
Cambridge Analytica said when Facebook informed it that the data had been improperly obtained, the company immediately deleted the raw data from its file server, and began the process of searching for and removing any of its derivatives in its system.

“We are now undertaking an independent third-party audit to demonstrate that no GSR data remains in our systems,” the company added.
As it was reported earlier, against the scandal with data leak of 50 million users and the use of it by Cambridge Analytica Company, Facebook reported on the simplifying of the privacy settings.
Zuckerberg was invited to the European Parliament to explain this incident. Zuckerberg should explain whether the use of the data of the Europeans for the manipulation took place. It could be used by London’s Cambridge Analytica Company during Trump's election campaign.
