The Moscow City Court announced the break in the consideration of the case against Roman Sushchenko, the citizen of Ukraine illegally detained in Russia until March 28. Sushchenko did not plead guilty during today’s court session. Mark Feygin, the advocate of Sushchenko claimed this on Twitter.
‘Roman Sushchenko did plead guilty in full’, he wrote.
‘The break in the process of Sushchenko is announced until March 28, 10:30’.

According to the advocate, the court process takes place in the closed session.
As Feygin reported, the trial over Sushchenko can end in May 2018 with the delivering of the sentence as 112 Ukraine reported.
‘It is already defined that the court will last in April and it seems that it will end in May with the delivering of the sentence. Preliminary, it is so from the schedule that I heard. The perspective of the further exchange after the court, so-called, pardon as I see that the negotiations take place and due to some signs that seem to be more my intuition, the perspective is quite good’, he said.

The Moscow City Court extended the arrest of Roman Sushchenko, the Ukrainian journalist for two months until March 30, 2018, on January 24.
Suschenko was detained in September 2016 at an airport in Moscow. He was charged with espionage in favor of the Ukrainian intelligence. Since then, Sushchenko has been kept in jail. Ukraine has repeatedly appealed to the Russian Federation with a demand to immediately release the journalist.
