The title noted that the reshuffle in the governance of the national security took place in the background of the negotiations of the US and North Korea.
Tillerson occupied this post since February 2017. Pompeo was appointed as the CIA Director in January 2017 after the election of Trump as the president.

Before this, Tillerson said he fully trusted the UK investigation and accused Russia of involvement in the poisoning of former GRU officer Sergei Skripal. He claimed that the poisoning of a former Russian spy in Britain last week ‘clearly came from Russia’ and ‘certainly will trigger a response’.
Trump wrote on Twitter about the preparation for the meeting with Kim Jong Un. U.S. President noted that "talked about denuclearization with the South Korean Representatives, not just a freeze. Also, no missile testing by North Korea during this period of time." Kim Jong Un allegedly promised not to conduct missile testing before his meeting with Trump.
